Learn the Runes – 4-Part Course [online]

The runes are an ancient set of letters found across Northern Europe in pre-Christian times. Today, they are often used for magical purposes.

In this 4-part online course, Andre Henriques teaches students how to read the runes for the purposes of divination, magic and internal spiritual work. In the first session, students are introduced to their historical, mythical and magical contexts, learning about the old rune poems and how use of the runes has evolved for modern practitioners. The following 3 sessions are each dedicated to a group (aett) of 8 runes – making 24 in total – when students can expect to learn both the literal meanings and numerous correspondences of each rune. To cement learning, Andre supplies meditations and practical exercises throughout.

This is an in-depth course recommended for all those interested in bringing the runes into their own practice. By the last session, everyone will have the confidence, knowledge and skill to do so.

Andre Henriques is a longstanding member of the pagan community, with over 25 years’ experience on the Heathen path. He has also carried out scholarly study of modern Heathen practices to a master’s level, and academically researched the Northern tradition’s source texts for many years, giving him the combined knowledge and insight of both the academic and practitioner. Active in the UK’s Heathen community for over 15 years, he regularly leads ceremonies, lectures and workshops.
